Rolls-Royce has decided to update the luxurious Cullinan, the crown jewel of the British brand, which has received more technology and a new design for the front section.
Dubbed as Cullinan Series II, the luxurious SUV now comes with a redesigned front that includes daytime running lights with a new design and an illuminated front grille. In addition, the bumper has also been redesigned and now features three generous air intakes.
On the rear, the highlight is the new rectangular design of the two exhaust outlets, one at each end, flanked by a brushed steel plate and integrated into the bumper, giving it a more muscular look.
To reveal a younger and more modern image, Rolls-Royce has equipped the Cullinan Series II with 23” wheels, for the first time, featuring an exclusive 10-spoke design.
The new interior in Duality Twill leather makes use of an impressive 2.2 million stitching points and about 18 km of thread, and is the product of 20 hours of construction. The base fabric in twill is available in three colors – Lilac, Chocolate, and Black – and customers can choose from 51 different thread colors.
Rolls-Royce also revealed that the pattern of the seats and door panels is inspired by the shapes and shadows of the clouds that hover over the Goodwood facilities and may include around 107,000 perforations of 0.8 and 1.2 millimeters. A single craftsman checks each individual perforation to ensure absolute uniformity.
Furthermore, connectivity has been enhanced, especially for rear seat passengers who can connect up to two streaming devices to the rear screens.
Another novelty is the use of Whispers, the brand’s exclusive application for its customers, which allows interaction with the Cullinan Series II from a smartphone. For audiophiles, there is a new customizable sound system that can include 18 speakers and an 18-channel amplifier with 1400w of power.
Regarding motorizations, there are no changes compared to its predecessor, and thus, the renewed Cullinan uses a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 570 hp in the base version while in the Black Badge variant it has a power of 600 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm. This version also features exclusive tuning of the accelerator pedal, as well as the eight-speed ZF gearbox.
