Jeep announced the arrival of the renewed Compass to the national market, which comes with news in terms of comfort and technology.
The American brand equipped the renewed Compass with a wide range of standard driving assistance systems, including Driver Drowsiness Detection, High-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking for Pedestrians/Cyclists, Lane Keeping Assist, and Rear Cross Path Detection.
The next-generation technologies offered in the Compass include, as an option, a frameless 10.25-inch color TFT digital instrument panel, and as standard, a 10.1-inch infotainment system screen with the new Uconnect 5, which the brand says is five times faster, compatible with Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and an optional smartphone charging pad.
In addition, Jeep has restructured the Compass range, which now only includes four variants: Altitude, Summit, Overland, and the significantly improved Trailhawk. Three customization packs are also available for the Compass, each with a specific mission.
In this way, the ‘Safety pack’ was designed to improve urban and off-road adventures, prioritizing safety, and offers, among other features, blind spot monitoring, 360° camera, parking assistance (park assist), and courtesy lights on the rearview mirrors.
The ‘Premium pack’ includes navigation, hands-free electric tailgate opening/closing, traffic information, wireless charger, and the new level 2 autonomous driving system.
Finally, the ‘Winter pack’ was designed with the coldest season in mind and includes heated front seats and steering wheel, windshield defroster, and all-weather floor mats. The dual-pane sunroof is an optional feature.
In terms of engines, the updated Jeep Compass continues to offer a fully electrified range, with two hybrid powertrains: e-Hybrid with mild hybrid technology and a power output of 130 hp, along with the 4xe plug-in hybrid, which comes in two power levels, 190 hp and 240 hp.
Jeep has already announced that the updated Compass is now available in the national market starting at €40,000.
