Renault strengthens the range of the Clio, Captur, and Symbioz with the introduction of the Eco-G 120 engine, compatible with gasoline and LPG. The solution is based on a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, with direct injection, turbocharger, 120 hp, and 200 Nm.
This bifuel system allows operation with either fuel, through automatic and manual switching. Combining the capacity of both tanks, the announced range is up to 1400 km, depending on the model. No less important, Renault claims a reduction of about 10% in CO2 emissions compared to an equivalent gasoline engine, and a significant decrease in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, compared to diesel engines with the same power level.
The introduction of this engine reinforces the diamond brand’s commitment to a technology that represented 44% of its sales in 2025. In the Clio, 60% of the units registered last year were equipped with such an engine, rising to 68% of sales in the case of the Captur (the Symbioz now receives this solution for the first time).
In Portugal, the Captur Eco-G 120 is already available from €25,690. In the case of the Symbioz Eco-G 120, prices start at €28,140, and the arrival of the first units in our country is expected in the second quarter of this year. Meanwhile, orders for the Clio Eco-G 120 will open only in the second half of 2026.
