Renault apresenta uma nova era de veículos comerciais ligeiros elétricos

Renault has unveiled its new line of fully electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs), marking a new era for the segment. The range includes the Estafette, Goelette, and Trafic models, each designed to meet different business needs.

The three new light commercial vehicles set to hit the market starting in 2026 were developed in collaboration with Flexis, the independent company founded by Renault, Volvo, and CMA CGM. They are based on the new “skateboard” platform and SDV architecture, offering compact, spacious, and adaptable vans that pave the way for customized solutions.

Renault has indicated that this new platform represents a significant advancement in the design of smart vehicles, providing flexibility, ergonomics, and connectivity, with virtually infinite customization possibilities and reduced operating costs, while simultaneously ensuring high levels of safety and performance.

Trafic E-Tech electric

The fourth generation of the Trafic, a model with over 2.5 million units built since its launch in 1980, features contemporary proportions and a monovolume design for a clean and dynamic profile. With a short front overhang and an extended wheelbase, the wheels are positioned at the extremities, which helps maximize interior space while maintaining a turning radius equivalent to that of a Renault Clio.

With a height of less than 1.90 m to facilitate access to underground parking lots, the overall look reflects Renault’s new design trends, with fluid and structured lines.

At the front, the central area emphasizes the high-tech appearance of the Trafic, showcasing the illuminated upper strip, with side daytime running lights (DRLs) confirming its avant-garde character. In the center of the strip, the illuminated logo also draws attention, reflecting the overall attention to detail.

In profile, the beltline conveys a sense of performance, with a subtle visual effect that underscores the impression of movement and energy, even when stationary.

The rear features a high body line at the level of the side windows, along with asymmetrical and strongly curved doors, and a spoiler with deflectors to optimize aerodynamics. The rear lights have a unique lighting signature, enhanced by a 3D design that gives a distinct and sophisticated touch to the style.

Goelette E-Tech Electric

Reviving one of Renault’s historic light commercial vehicles, produced between 1956 and 1966, the Goelette E-Tech Electric is available in three versions: chassis-cab, cargo box, and tipping platform, thereby allowing for a wide range of conversions.

The flexible architecture of the new generation of light commercial vehicles ensures balanced proportions, with a rear section designed for an virtually infinite range of accessories and custom features, with structural parts capable of accommodating a closed cargo box or other configurations tailored to the specific needs of the user.

Estafette E-Tech Electric

The Estafette E-Tech electric is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic van from the 1960s, adapted to the demands of modern urban logistics.

Measuring just 5.27 m in length and 1.92 m in width, it is a compact commercial vehicle that is easy to maneuver in the city. With a height of 2.60 m, it allows a person up to 1.90 m tall to move easily inside, between the cabin and the cargo area.

Like the Trafic E-Tech, the Estafette E-Tech Electric features a wide three-piece panoramic windshield for greater visibility and safety. The front showcases a distinctive light signature: a light strip with aligned daytime running lights that emphasizes the high-tech identity of this light commercial vehicle.

The sliding side door has an integrated invisible track that allows for a smooth opening. At the rear, a single-piece roller door optimizes the cargo space.

Renault has also announced that this new range of light commercial vehicles is expected to hit the market starting in 2026, and that more details about the new models will be revealed in the coming months.
