Renault inaugura Refactory Valladolid na caminhada para a descarbonização

The Renault Group is implementing its strategic plan with a firm commitment to being a leader in the sustainable industry by 2030. The company, committed to the circular economy as a fundamental pillar for the sustainable growth of the automotive sector, has just inaugurated the Refactory Valladolid, a factory dedicated to the circular economy in the automotive sector.

Following the launch of the Refactory Seville in December 2022, the French company is now advancing its decarbonization strategy with the inauguration of the Refactory Valladolid, with a total projected capacity of 6000 refurbished vehicles by 2025, across both facilities.

“The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation and, with it, new value chains are emerging, where sustainability and the circular economy are fundamental elements. Our goal is to make the Group’s vehicles more sustainable, cleaner, and capable of living multiple lives”, said Josep Maria Recasens, CEO of Renault Group Spain.

The new factory in Valladolid stands out as a state-of-the-art center dedicated to giving a second life to used vehicles through the RETROFIT process, which carries out a complete refurbishment of vehicles from the brands Renault, Dacia, and Alpine, in compliance with new technologies and regulations.

The system covers everything from the receipt of the vehicle to the final delivery. Each vehicle undergoes a complete inspection at 150 control points, ensuring that it meets the highest quality standards. This process begins with an ultra-efficient wash that consumes only 3 liters of water per vehicle, followed by a comprehensive assessment that includes a revolutionary tire mark analysis to diagnose and correct alignment if necessary.

The reconditioning phase takes place in state-of-the-art facilities, which include energy-efficient paint booths, and culminates with a final cleaning and a detailed photographic report, preparing the vehicle for its new life. Refactory Valladolid offers reconditioned vehicles in up to two weeks.

In addition, the company also offers the Refactory Certification, which guarantees the use of original brand parts, compliance with the manufacturer’s maintenance program, and approval in a rigorous quality control process.
