Grupo Renault: vendas crescem 1,3% para 2,26 milhões veículos em 2024

The Renault Group announced this Thursday that sales increased by 1.3% in 2024, with the French conglomerate selling 2,264,815 vehicles.

The European market remained the primary destination for Renault Group models, welcoming 1,599,051 vehicles in 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.5%.

The reported results place the Renault Group among the top three sellers in the European market last year, highlighted by the Dacia Sandero, which was the best-selling model in Europe, with 309,392 units sold.

In Europe, the Renault brand grew by 3.3%, twice the market growth (1.7%), selling 1,009,000 vehicles for a market share of 6.7%. This expansion was particularly driven by the brand’s key markets, such as the United Kingdom with a growth of 21.4% and Spain with a growth of 10.8%.

Outside of Europe, the Renault brand saw its sales increase by 10.3% in Brazil, thanks to the SUV Kardian, and by 80.6% in South Korea, benefiting from the launch of the Grand Koleos.

In terms of powertrains, the French group highlighted its commitment to electrification, which allowed more than a third of the vehicles sold in 2024 to be electrified, with 100% electric vehicles already accounting for 9% of sales. Meanwhile, sales of hybrid vehicles increased by 45%, now representing 25.5% of the Group’s sales (+7.5 points compared to 2023).

Also noteworthy is Alpine, which continued to grow in the premium segment for the fourth consecutive year, with a 5.9% increase in global registrations to 4,585 vehicles sold, experiencing stronger growth in Europe of 7.1%, particularly in key markets for the brand, such as Italy (+37.5%), the United Kingdom (+24.9%), Spain (+19.3%), and Germany (+10.6%).

The Alpine A110 maintains its European leadership in the two-seater sports coupe segment, with a market share of 44.7%, driven by the success of its high-end versions: the A110 R and the A110 R Turini.

For 2025, the Renault Group plans to launch 7 new vehicles and strengthen its electrification offensive in Europe, with the arrival of the electric Renault 4 E‑Tech, Dacia Bigster, Alpine A390, and Mobilize Duo & Bento.
