Renault 5 elétrico já tem data para a apresentação

Renault is ready to present the production version of the new 5 E-Tech Electric, the 100% electric variant of the iconic Renault 5, which will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, taking place from February 26 to March 3.

The reinterpretation of Renault’s “best-seller” will be the highlight of the French brand’s presence in Geneva, and it is already known that the model, with a length of 3.92 m, will feature a 52 kWh battery, which gives it a range of up to 400 km in the combined WLTP cycle. It is based on the new AmpR Small platform (previously known as CMF-B EV), with multi-link rear suspension. Equipped with a bidirectional onboard charger, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric will be the first production car in the brand to have V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technology.

In addition, the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric will be the first car to integrate “Reno,” the interactive avatar of the French brand created to respond to occupants’ requests.

Remember that the Renault 5 recently celebrated its 51st anniversary. The model that was a symbol of pop culture, marking generations of drivers with its fascination that did not look at ages or genders. Over a period of 24 years, from 1972 to 1996, 5,580,626 units of the model were produced. Now the iconic model is about to enter a new era with a 100% electric powertrain.

The French brand’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show will also feature the latest models from the electric and hybrid range, such as the Megane, Scénic, Espace, and Rafale, as well as a selection of Renault 5 articles designed around the brand’s pop icon.
