Red Bull’s Tsunoda Breakthrough Shocks Horner: Bahrain Grand Prix Drama Unfolds

Yuki Tsunoda is setting the track on fire as he proves himself in the Red Bull RB21, impressing team principal Christian Horner with his performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The young Japanese driver, who replaced Liam Lawson, showcased his talent by securing the team’s first points of the F1 2025 season.

Despite facing some brake issues during the race, Tsunoda managed to finish in ninth place, just seconds behind his teammate Max Verstappen. Horner commended Tsunoda’s solid weekend, highlighting his top 10 qualification and points finish, stating, “He drove pretty well.”

Tsunoda acknowledged the differences between the RB21 and Red Bull’s junior team’s car, noting that the operating window of his car was narrower, making it challenging to find the right balance. However, he remains optimistic about his progress and the direction in which he is heading.

On the other hand, Red Bull’s advisor, Helmut Marko, expressed concerns about the team’s performance in Bahrain, emphasizing the issues with balance, grip, and brake problems. He highlighted the need for improvements in the upcoming races to stay competitive in the championship race.

As Red Bull focuses on expanding the operating window of the RB21, Tsunoda’s stellar performance has brought hope for better results in the future races. Stay tuned as the team works tirelessly to overcome their challenges and strive for championship glory.
