Red Bull’s Next Big Thing? Arvid Lindblad Fast-Tracks to F1 with Superlicence on the Horizon

Arvid Lindblad: Red Bull’s Next F1 Superstar in the Making?

Move over, Max Verstappen—Arvid Lindblad is coming.

At just 17 years old, the highly-rated Red Bull junior driver is on the brink of securing his F1 superlicence, fast-tracking him into contention for a Formula 1 race seat as early as 2026—or even sooner.

Lindblad, currently dominating the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, is proving exactly why Christian Horner and Helmut Marko hold him in such high regard. With six wins in 12 races, he’s on the verge of clinching the title—a result that would earn him 18 superlicence points and remove any future eligibility concerns.

And Red Bull is watching closely.

A Future Red Bull F1 Driver? The Path Is Clearer Than Ever

While Lindblad’s main 2025 focus will be Formula 2, his rapid ascent means he’s already in the frame for a 2026 F1 debut—or even a mid-season call-up in 2025.

With Yuki Tsunoda’s Racing Bulls seat uncertain beyond this season and Red Bull’s senior team closely monitoring both Sergio Pérez and Daniel Ricciardo, Lindblad is now a genuine option should the team need a shakeup.

And make no mistake—Red Bull isn’t afraid to promote young talent if they see potential.

💬 Red Bull’s view on Lindblad:
“Senior figures at Red Bull talk about Lindblad more highly than any recent junior since Max Verstappen.”

That’s high praise—and high expectations.

A Fast-Tracked Route to Formula 1

Red Bull is wasting no time integrating Lindblad into F1 machinery.

🚀 F1 Testing – Expect him to run private test sessions this year.
🚀 Friday FP1 Sessions – Red Bull and Racing Bulls must field a young driver twice in each car, meaning up to six potential FP1 slots for Lindblad.
🚀 Superlicence Secured Early – Unlike Logan Sargeant’s last-minute superlicence gamble, Lindblad will avoid that headache entirely.

By the time Red Bull makes 2026 driver decisions, Lindblad will already have F1 miles under his belt.

Can Lindblad Handle the Pressure? Red Bull’s Biggest Question

Talent isn’t the issue—consistency is.

🔹 In Formula 3 last year, Lindblad was in title contention before failing to score in the final six races.
🔹 In Italian F4 (2023), he led the championship comfortably before collapsing in the final rounds and finishing third.

💬 Why this matters:
“If the F2 season is competitive, there will be an expectation on Lindblad to prove he can cope with the pressure of a championship bid.”

Red Bull loves raw speed, but they also need a driver who can handle the mental toll of title fights.

The Verdict: Is Lindblad Red Bull’s Next F1 Star?

All signs point to Red Bull grooming Lindblad as a future F1 driver—possibly even as their next superstar.

If he excels in F2, he could land a Racing Bulls seat in 2026. But if Red Bull needs a shake-up mid-season in 2025, don’t rule out a Verstappen-style early promotion.

One thing’s for sure: Arvid Lindblad is officially on Red Bull’s F1 radar, and the rest of the grid should take notice.
