Red Bull’s Max Verstappen Proclaims Team’s Doom: No More Victories in 2025 F1 Season!

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY - AUGUST 03: Oscar Piastri of Australia and McLaren and Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing talk on the drivers parade prior to the F1 Grand Prix of Hungary at Hungaroring on August 03, 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. Max Verstappen’s shocking declaration has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 world, as he boldly claims that Red Bull will not taste victory again in the 2025 season. The aftermath of a “weird” Hungarian Grand Prix weekend has left the Dutch driver disillusioned, with a dismal qualifying session landing him in eighth place and a disappointing ninth-place finish in the race, trailing behind former teammate Liam Lawson.

Verstappen, who had previously showcased his prowess with remarkable wins in Suzuka and Imola earlier this season, is now grappling with a slump, standing on the podium only once in the last seven races. The frustration is palpable as he expresses his doubts about Red Bull’s chances of clinching another race win this year, stating, “No, not the way things are going right now.”

The Hungarian Grand Prix served as a stark reminder of Red Bull’s vulnerabilities on tracks that demand good mechanical grip, where they have historically struggled. The team’s decision to run a low downforce rear wing, a strategy that proved successful at specific tracks, fell short in Hungary’s twisty circuit layout, exacerbating their performance woes.

Despite the setback, Red Bull’s team principal, Laurent Mekies, remains optimistic about the team’s ability to bounce back, emphasizing the need to learn from their mistakes and extract more performance from the RB21 car. With the 2025 season set to resume after the summer break, all eyes are on Verstappen and his team as they gear up for the challenges ahead.

As the F1 season unfolds, the upcoming races at Zandvoort, Monza, Baku, and beyond will put Red Bull to the test, determining their competitiveness on various track layouts. Will Verstappen defy the odds and reclaim his winning form, or is Red Bull destined to struggle against formidable rivals like McLaren?

The stage is set for a high-octane showdown as the battle for supremacy in the 2025 Formula 1 season intensifies. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track, with adrenaline-pumping action and unforeseen twists awaiting fans worldwide.
