Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar reveals shocking truth behind his first F1 podium: the stench of sweat!

Isack Hadjar’s First F1 Podium: A Sweaty Triumph with a Stinky Twist!

In a shocking revelation that has left fans both amused and cringing, Red Bull’s rising star Isack Hadjar shared the comical yet awkward details surrounding his inaugural Formula 1 podium finish. The French rookie, who clinched third place in a dramatic race, found himself in a rather pungent predicament that he candidly discussed during a recent episode of the Talking Bull podcast.

Hadjar, who secured his spot on the podium thanks to a fortunate McLaren oil leak and Lando Norris’s unexpected retirement, showcased his undeniable talent by qualifying fourth—setting the stage for a thrilling race alongside titans like Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen. Despite his outstanding performance and finishing as the second-best Red Bull driver at 12th in the overall standings, Hadjar’s moment of glory came with an unanticipated twist: he was forced to stand on the podium in a sweaty race suit!

In a humorous recount, Hadjar described the scene in the cooldown room after the race. While fellow podium finishers Piastri and Verstappen were pampered with towels and fresh suits, Hadjar realized he was left high and dry. “I remember being in the cooldown room with Max and Oscar. They were ready for that. And they had their trainers with towels, so they could change and I was like… and I looked at Harry [Mann, performance coach], my guy. I was like ‘you brought me a towel?’ He was like ‘no,’” Hadjar shared, reflecting on the disparity that had him feeling less than fresh.

The rookie’s frustration was palpable as he continued, “And they all had brand new suits because after the podium you stink and they get changed, and they had this custom towel where they fit it around them so they can actually get changed without—I was amazed. I was like wow.” When pressed further about the discomfort of appearing on the podium in his “disgusting sweaty suit,” Hadjar didn’t hold back, stating, “Yeah exactly. During the press conference, these guys smelled good. They were brand new and I was like ‘that’s not fair.’”

Despite the less-than-ideal circumstances, Hadjar’s impressive performance has not gone unnoticed. His stellar rookie season has earned him a coveted promotion to team up with Verstappen for the 2026 season, where fans hope to see him on the podium more frequently—hopefully without the accompanying odor.

Isack Hadjar’s story serves as a reminder that even in the high-stakes world of Formula 1, moments of humor and humanity can shine through, leaving a lasting impression on fans and competitors alike. As he looks forward to future races, one can only imagine the preparation he’ll undertake to avoid a repeat of his inaugural podium experience!
