It was merely a back-and-forth. I maintained decorum in how I proposed it.” He insisted that he had merely asked for some space to concentrate on handling a challenging car.
Hamilton lauded Adami, who had previously worked with multiple champions, and dismissed any rumors of discord between them. He spoke about building rapport with Adami in a separate interview with Sky F1, “Riccardo and I have a great rapport. That was our maiden race together, where he was tasked with managing unexpected circumstances, and we handled most of them with ease. We later discussed our communication strategy and made plans for future improvements.”
