Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Helmut Marko Reap Salary Boosts with Record-Breaking F1 Season – See how much

After a phenomenal 2023 in Formula 1, Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Helmut Marko enjoyed hefty salary raises following a nearly unstoppable year on the track. The team clinched victory in all but one of the 22 races, with Max Verstappen dominating 19 races to secure his third consecutive Drivers’ Championship.

Christian Horner, Red Bull’s team principal, saw his earnings rise by 11% to an impressive £8.92 million in 2023, according to The Times. Meanwhile, Team Advisor Helmut Marko’s salary doubled from £3.5 million in 2022 to a remarkable £7 million in 2023, despite controversy surrounding Red Bull’s Young Driver Programme.

Despite a rocky 2024, the success of the previous season provided Horner and Marko with well-earned financial rewards. Red Bull started this season strong, delivering three one-two finishes in the first four races. However, political and internal issues have started to cast shadows, with the team facing high-profile exits at year-end, including that of legendary Chief Technology Officer Adrian Newey, who is bound for Aston Martin.

As Red Bull faces the season’s home stretch, Verstappen appears poised to secure another Drivers’ Championship after a standout performance in Brazil. Yet the once-unshakable lead in the Constructors’ Championship has started to dwindle as the team trails behind rivals McLaren and Ferrari.

The financial performance linked to Constructors’ standings could mean a slowdown in salary growth for Horner and Marko in 2025, with Red Bull potentially eyeing tighter budgets.
