Red Bull vai substituir Sergio Perez – Helmut Marko.

In the world of Formula 1 racing, Red Bull Racing finds itself at a crucial crossroads as it evaluates its team of drivers. Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo, and Yuki Tsunoda are all under scrutiny as the team seeks to make necessary changes and bring in fresh talent. This evaluation has created a sense of uncertainty and intrigue regarding their future in the sport.

Of particular interest is the rivalry between Ricciardo and Tsunoda, both part of the Red Bull junior team. Their battle for supremacy goes beyond personal glory, as they vie for the coveted position of Max Verstappen’s teammate for the 2025 season. This internal competition has caught the attention of Dr. Helmut Marko, a key advisor at Red Bull, who shared his insights with Sky Deutschland.

Marko emphasized the intense competition between Ricciardo and Tsunoda, acknowledging that both drivers aspire to join the main team. However, he made it clear that only one of them can secure that spot and they must outperform each other to do so. Marko criticized their performances, noting Tsunoda’s potential in qualifying but highlighting his shortcomings in race conditions. He stressed the importance of capitalizing on scoring opportunities and lamented the missed chances in the early races of the season.

The discussion also touched on Perez’s position within the team. While Marko expressed satisfaction with Perez’s performance, he did not rule out the possibility of changes. Given the age of the drivers and the team’s continuous search for fresh talent, Marko suggested exploring new options. He praised Liam Lawson, a young Red Bull reserve driver, for his impressive performance as a substitute last year, hinting at potential future with the team.

Despite the evaluation and possibility of changes, Perez’s recent commendable performances have provided a degree of stability. Currently ranked second in the championship, Perez’s immediate future with the team appears secure. Marko made it clear that the focus is on the future, rather than immediate replacements, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning for the team’s progression.

Amidst these developments, there have been rumors surrounding Christian Horner’s position as head of Red Bull. However, the FIA’s intervention has brought some clarity to the situation, indicating that Horner’s position is still intact. The team’s attention remains focused on the future and the necessary measures for continued success in the world of Formula 1.
