Red Bull Racing has just announced that it will unveil its new hypercar, the RB17, in July during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
It is already known that the first hypercar to be entirely developed and designed by Red Bull Advanced Technologies under the watchful eye of Adrian Newey, is expected to feature a naturally aspirated V10 engine capable of producing around 1000 hp and will be combined with a 200 hp electric motor.
Furthermore, everything indicates that the RB17 will have advanced aerodynamics and will be capable of generating a maximum downforce of 1700 kg at 241 km/h.
Regarding technical aspects, it is already known that the engine will be supported by an energy recovery system very similar to that used by Red Bull’s Formula 1 cars, in order to ensure the necessary energy for the electric component that will help achieve the desired power levels.
It should be noted that Red Bull Racing has already stated that they will produce only 50 units of the RB17, at an average of 15 per year, and that the first deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2025.
