Despite an extensive investigation that lasted several weeks, the company decided to close the investigation without taking any further action against Horner.
Red Bull Racing took a significant step by suspending the employee responsible for initiating an internal investigation into the conduct of team principal Christian Horner.
This action follows a comprehensive investigation led by Red Bull GmbH, the parent company of the Formula 1 team.
Despite the thorough investigation that lasted several weeks, the company chose to conclude the investigation without taking any further action against Horner.
During this period, which included the unveiling of the 2024 car and the inaugural race in Bahrain, where Red Bull secured a dominant 1-2 victory, Horner’s leadership remained unquestioned.
As time goes on, Horner’s position seems to be increasingly secure, especially after the recent suspension of the individual who raised concerns about his behavior.
The employee at the center of this situation was reportedly active at the Red Bull Racing campus in Milton Keynes until Monday, before being suspended.
Contrary to certain reports, there is no confirmation of the termination of the individual’s employment.
In response to inquiries, a Red Bull spokesperson maintained the organization’s policy of not commenting on matters involving its employees.
This policy of silence persisted even amidst the turmoil caused by an email leak last week, which allegedly exposed confidential information to key figures in the Formula 1 community.
Although the authenticity of the email content has not been verified, Horner publicly denied the accusations and emphasized his cooperation with the independent investigation, which ultimately dismissed the complaint against him.
After the Bahrain Grand Prix, Horner spoke to the press, expressing his desire to refocus on the race and acknowledging the challenges posed by unwanted attention.
He highlighted the collective effort of his team, which resulted in a triumphant start to the season.
Horner also emphasized the support he received from within Red Bull and the motorsport community at large, including his wife Geri and Red Bull’s majority shareholder, Chalerm Yoovidhya, both present in Bahrain to show their unity.
Horner’s comments reflected the desire to move forward, emphasizing the importance of races and the collective achievements of his team.
