Red Bull Team Drama Unveiled: Horner Dismisses Marko’s Claims on Tsunoda Selection

In a shocking turn of events, the Red Bull Racing team is embroiled in controversy as Team Principal Christian Horner refutes claims made by advisor Helmut Marko regarding the selection of driver Yuki Tsunoda. Marko previously stated that Tsunoda had not been considered for Red Bull prior to this season due to opposition from renowned designer Adrian Newey. However, Horner swiftly clarified to Sky Sport UK that Newey had no involvement in the driver selection process for this season, attributing Marko’s comments to a misunderstanding related to a past incident at Silverstone in 2022.

Adding fuel to the fire, recent reports highlighted Helmut Marko’s conspicuous absence from a crucial technical meeting in Milton Keynes where the development path of the RB21 car was discussed with star driver Max Verstappen. Known for his omnipresence within the team, Marko’s recent behavior has raised eyebrows within the paddock, leading to speculation about potential rifts within the Red Bull hierarchy.

Furthermore, Yuki Tsunoda, who was officially announced as a Red Bull driver on March 27th, revealed a surprising lack of communication from Marko, stating during a press conference at the Japanese Grand Prix that he had not heard from the advisor since his confirmation. Tsunoda expressed his eagerness to connect with Marko, emphasizing their previously positive interactions from his time in F3 to his current F1 stint. However, journalist Chris Medland later revealed that Marko had indeed attempted to reach out to Tsunoda just before the press conference, debunking the driver’s initial statement.

As tensions within the team continue to simmer, with Tsunoda’s revelations and Marko’s actions coming under scrutiny, the Red Bull Racing saga takes yet another twist. Stay tuned for more updates as the drama unfolds in the high-octane world of Formula 1.
