Team principal Christian Horner was heavily criticized by Jos Verstappen, who claimed that his own actions were harming the entire Red Bull team. These criticisms coincided with Verstappen Sr.’s meeting with the Mercedes team principal, fueling speculation about a possible move for Max Verstappen.
Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff gave his opinion on the matter, stating that Max Verstappen will stay at Red Bull as he has a contract and is a great driver. However, he avoided going into details.
The internal turmoil within the team could lead to an uncertain future for Max Verstappen and Red Bull. Team advisor Helmut Marko also expressed doubts about his future during these power struggles.
There have been speculations about Marko’s future with the Formula 1 team due to a possible leak of information related to Christian Horner’s case. The 80-year-old advisor hinted that he might leave the team and not participate in the next race in Australia.
However, Marko received assurances about his future from the Red Bull CEO after their meeting. Max Verstappen expressed loyalty to Marko, stating that his future at Red Bull depends on him staying there. Verstappen believes he needs Marko to continue.
