Chefe da Red Bull diz que competidores se aproximando era esperado após treino em Mônaco.

Red Bull dominates Formula 1 since 2022, but faced some challenges in the 2024 season. Despite impressive race victories, the team lost two races due to balance and grip issues. As a result, they expect tough competition from their rivals in the upcoming race.

During practice sessions at the Monte Carlo circuit, Red Bull’s drivers, [Driver 1] and [Driver 2], failed to lead the sessions. Surprisingly, it was Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes who topped the FP1 session. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was not surprised by this development. He explained that with the third year of ground effect regulations, some convergence in competition was inevitable.

After dominating the two previous seasons, Red Bull faced stronger competition as rival teams gained more knowledge about their expertise. This led to a more competitive environment for the team.

In Monaco, qualifying sessions are usually action-packed and highly competitive for pole position. Red Bull has shown good pace in one lap, with Max Verstappen securing pole positions in all races so far. However, with rival teams improving their pace, Horner expects a challenge for the front row start in Monte Carlo.

Horner emphasized that he expects competition during the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying session. He highlighted the circuit’s unique layout and the importance of a good lap during qualifying. Red Bull is under pressure to continue improving their performance and stay ahead of their rivals.

Max Verstappen has proven his racing skills with unexpected victories in the past. Therefore, winning at the Monaco circuit would not be surprising for the Dutch driver. The Red Bull team will quickly resolve any issues to help Verstappen regain his form for tomorrow’s qualifying session.
