RB F1 estratégias constantemente para maximizar o desempenho de Ricciardo.

Red Bull Formula 1 team boss, Laurent Mekies, expressed that the team constantly contemplates how they can provide the ideal conditions for Daniel Ricciardo to consistently excel. Ricciardo faced a challenging season, with mixed performances in the first nine races, ultimately frustrating his hopes of returning to Red Bull in 2025. He is now struggling to secure his position with Red Bull’s sister team, currently trailing teammate Yuki Tsunoda by 10 points, who has already been confirmed for the next season. In response to criticisms from former Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve, Ricciardo achieved an encouraging eighth place in Canada after starting fifth on the grid. Mekies argues that Ricciardo’s impressive performances in Montreal and the previous Miami Sprint, where he finished fourth, demonstrate his ability to win races. The team’s focus is on providing the drivers with the necessary resources to excel at an exceptional level that cannot be ignored. Mekies emphasizes that it is their responsibility as a team to prioritize this goal, and they are constantly working to achieve it.

Ricciardo overcame a clutch issue that resulted in a five-second penalty, but managed to secure an eighth place and earn his first points of the season in the grand prix. The Formula 1 veteran expressed relief for finally converting his promising performance at the beginning of the weekend into tangible results, and he is optimistic about building on this success in the upcoming races.

At the end of the race, Ricciardo found himself temporarily out of the points, which left him a little unsettled. Initially, he was informed of a penalty for a false start, but he was sure he hadn’t jumped the signal. This confusion led him to question the penalty. However, upon reflection, he remembered that while he was searching for the revs for the start, he felt the car move slightly. His race engineer, Pierre Hamelin, confirmed that there was indeed a problem, possibly with the clutch.

This setback was followed by the loss of a few positions when they stopped to switch to intermediate tires. The cars that stayed out on track during the pit stop gained an advantage, and Ricciardo’s team couldn’t make significant progress with the new tire. As a result, it seemed like the race was slipping away from them. However, as the track dried up towards the end, Ricciardo managed to make his way through the pack and ultimately finish with four points.

Reflecting on the weekend as a whole, Ricciardo described it as quite good from start to finish. He acknowledged that these challenging conditions make it difficult for everyone to perform perfectly, but he remains determined to improve. Despite the obstacles, he was able to keep his car on track, maintain a steady pace, and deliver a smooth performance. Ricciardo emphasized the importance of weekends like this, especially when facing a lack of momentum, and expressed satisfaction with his overall performance.

In conclusion, Ricciardo expressed his gratitude for the weekend’s result, recognizing that he needed this positive outcome. Although he chose not to say much to his competitors, he acknowledged the importance of this achievement and intends to keep it discreet in the future.
