Toprak Razgatlioglu, a Turkish rider currently under contract with BMW until the end of 2025, has expressed his desire to switch to MotoGP in the 2025 season. His manager, Kenan Sofuoğlu, informed BMW about this potential change and suggested including a MotoGP clause in his agreement. Sofuoğlu stated that there is significant interest in Razgatlioglu from the MotoGP paddock, with options for next year already being explored. However, the rider’s move to MotoGP would depend on receiving an offer from an official team. Unfortunately, both KTM and Ducati have already filled their spots for 2025, leaving Honda as the only possible option, as Aprilia is looking for another rider. Despite winning the 2021 WorldSBK championship with Yamaha, Razgatlioglu ended his partnership with the Japanese brand to join BMW. He has previous experience with GP bikes, having participated in private tests with Yamaha on an M1 during the previous season. BMW is considering the possibility of entering MotoGP in 2027, coinciding with significant regulatory changes in the MotoGP era. If BMW enters MotoGP, there is a possibility of Razgatlioglu joining the team. However, by then, he will already be 30 years old.
