The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League recently announced the sale of a remarkable 1:3 scale model of Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2002 Formula 1 car. This fully functional replica, created by Stéphane Andrist at Atelier Medicatech in Switzerland, was personally autographed by Schumacher during a demonstration in 2003. The project gained even more significance when Schumacher discovered the car. During the offseason, the Schumacher family often visited the La Cote region, located on the northern shore of Lake Geneva, where Atelier Medicatech is situated. Through local media coverage, a mutual acquaintance, and a chance encounter at a gas station, Schumacher learned about the project and personally inspected the car in late 2003, leaving his signature on the rear wing. This unexpected encounter added an incredible element to the story, further solidifying the car’s importance.
