Historic 2019 Toro Rosso STR14 Chassis Hits the Auction Block with a Stunning Starting Bid of £400,000!

Get ready to rev your engines, Formula 1 fans! A piece of racing history is about to change hands as the iconic Scuderia Toro Rosso STR14 chassis from the exhilarating 2019 F1 season is set to go under the hammer. Offered by F1 Authentics, this rolling chassis is not just any car; it’s a gateway to the world of high-speed racing, described as “an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a genuine Formula 1 race car.”

Driven by the talented duo of Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon, the STR14 played a pivotal role in the turbo hybrid era, racking up impressive points and unforgettable moments. One of the highlights? Gasly’s spectacular second-place finish at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, stepping in for Albon, who had made a move to Red Bull just seven races prior. And let’s not forget teammate Daniil Kvyat’s remarkable third-place finish in Germany! Together, Gasly and Albon amassed an impressive total of 48 points, while Kvyat contributed 37 points, catapulting the team to a commendable sixth place in the championship before its transformation into AlphaTauri.

This stunning chassis showcases the team’s striking livery, flaunting a captivating blue, silver, and red color scheme, adorned with the authentic sponsor branding reflective of its final season under the Toro Rosso name. It proudly displays the silver Red Bull logos on the sidepods, wings, and intakes, alongside Honda and Pirelli branding, and even features quirky partners like Moose Craft Hotdogs.

As expected from a rolling chassis, this beauty comes without a power unit, which has found its way to Honda’s facilities in Japan. However, the car is far from bare-bones! It has been meticulously prepared, sporting a fully connected front suspension, pedal box, steering rack, composite steering column, and cooling system hardware.

Designed under the expert guidance of technical director James Key—before his transition to McLaren—the STR14 underwent significant upgrades for its 2019 campaign. These enhancements included high-top sidepods and one of the most intricate monocoques seen from the team, demonstrating tight and efficient packaging.

But that’s not all! The auction winner will receive more than just the chassis. The package includes two steering wheels (one for racing and another for transport), a Toro Rosso car cover, a spare front wing, two sets of wheels and tires, and the necessary sockets for wheel changes.

With the auction house boldly declaring it as “one of the only genuine race-used hybrid-era F1 machines ever made available publicly,” it’s no wonder that bidding starts at a jaw-dropping £400,000! Don’t miss your chance to own a slice of F1 history; the auction closes on October 21! Will you be the one to take this legendary chassis home?
