Ralf Schumacher critica ‘próximo companheiro’ Guenther Steiner por aconselhar Alpine contra contratar Mick Schumacher.

Mick Schumacher was released by Guenther Steiner at the end of the 2022 F1 season.

will leave Alpine immediately until the end of the 2024 season. As a result, this creates a vacancy in the team with uncertainties regarding another individual’s contract. The Alpine WEC driver is being considered as the top candidate for this vacancy. However, the recently fired former Haas boss was heard speaking negatively about Schumacher’s chances at Alpine.

Mick Schumacher’s uncle, Ralf Schumacher, responded to Guenther Steiner’s comments on the matter. Ralf referred to Steiner as a “close friend” and expressed confusion over his senseless comments. Additionally, the 48-year-old German believed that the former Haas boss was against Schumacher Jr.’s entry into Alpine.

Furthermore, Ralf Schumacher highlighted the uncertainties surrounding Mick Schumacher’s position at Alpine. The German emphasized that if the 25-year-old exceeded expectations, it would reflect negatively on Guenther Steiner. Consequently, the 48-year-old German criticized Steiner’s situation of being expelled from the Haas F1 team and questioned why the team is performing better now after the Italian’s departure.

Ralf Schumacher didn’t stop at just comments. Mick’s uncle wholeheartedly supported and had faith in the young driver’s abilities to excel in Formula 1. The German didn’t hesitate to criticize Steiner for his irritating comments.

The 48-year-old German stated that he would no longer appear together with the Italian on television. Additionally, Schumacher recalled the Bahrain GP, where he stood by the former Haas boss for the greater good. However, the German was “consistent” in stating that he would never be seen with the 59-year-old Italian again.

Therefore, this demonstrates that Mick Schumacher has a great opportunity to secure a place in F1 with Alpine thanks to the support he has. Schumacher Jr. did not have the best chances to stand out during his time with Haas. As a result, a return with Alpine may be exactly the opportunity that the 25-year-old youngster needs to excel in the pinnacle of motorsport.
