R. Taylor: Pilotos retornando a Le Mans estão preparados para chuva em Watkins Glen.

Ricky Taylor, driver from Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti, informed the press that drivers returning from the rain-soaked 24 Hours of Le Mans should be prepared for the possibility of rain throughout the entire weekend at the Six Hours of Glen. During a pre-event conference call with the press, Taylor mentioned that Louis Deletraz is the only one among the four WTRAndretti drivers who has experience driving the car in wet conditions, as he qualified on pole in Petit last year in damp weather. Taylor expressed that all the drivers returning from Le Mans are fresh and ready to handle the rain, thanks to their experience in GTP cars. He also mentioned that rain is expected in almost every session of the weekend, so everyone wants to practice as much as possible. Taylor acknowledged that Acura has had a successful year with two wins at two different circuits, but they are still seeking improvements as they are currently in sixth place in the standings. He added that Watkins Glen is historically a good track for them, despite some reliability issues last year. The Acura car performs well when driven in a low-downforce setup, which suits the smooth track at Watkins Glen. Additionally, Taylor mentioned that the track is one of the most demanding they visit, and if it is dry, they will use the hard tire, although warming up the tire may be challenging due to the high expected temperature.
