Hello, how are you doing today? I hope you are having a great day!

The choice of Fabio Quartararo to remain in the Yamaha MotoGP team was influenced by significant and undisclosed changes aimed at bringing the team back to the top of the grid. The reigning champion recently announced his decision to extend his contract with Yamaha for two more seasons, reportedly earning €12 million per term. Despite facing difficulties at the beginning of the 2024 season, Quartararo reaffirmed his commitment to the Japanese manufacturer. During an interview at the Circuit of the Americas, Quartararo revealed that a crucial meeting with Yamaha’s top management played a key role in his decision to stay. The meeting, held in Portugal, discussed the team’s ambitions for the coming years and introduced undisclosed developments that Quartararo found intriguing. Yamaha’s revival began during the winter period with the addition of Max Bartolini, a former Ducati engineer, as Technical Director. Quartararo emphasized that Yamaha’s substantial budget and determination to regain past successes were significant factors in his decision. He expressed confidence that Yamaha’s bike will undergo significant improvements in the near future, thanks to Bartolini’s arrival and the team’s commitment to progress. Quartararo cited the information and changes presented during the meeting in Portugal as influential factors in his choice to stay with Yamaha. He praised the team’s new approach to problem-solving and highlighted the confidential projects in which Yamaha is heavily investing. Quartararo also mentioned the loyalty shown by Yamaha, as they expressed their desire to keep him for his sixth year with the team. Although Quartararo acknowledges that this year may present challenges due to a delayed start, he expressed optimism that significant progress will be made during the season, leading to an increase in competitiveness.
