In a thunderous display of power and speed, the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona witnessed a fierce battle as top racers vied for glory at the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. Defending world champion Austin Prock stole the show, claiming the No. 1 qualifier position alongside his teammate Jack Beckman, who dominated the Funny Car ranks.

Prock, known for his record-breaking performances, blazed down the track at a mind-blowing speed of 338.26mph, securing his 20th No. 1 position of his career. Beckman, on the other hand, showcased his prowess by winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge specialty race with a phenomenal run of 3.831s at 330.72mph in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro SS.

The competition heated up as Shawn Langdon and Matt Hartford also emerged victorious in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge in the Top Fuel and Pro Stock categories respectively. Langdon’s near-record run at 338.68mph left spectators in awe, while Hartford’s strategic 6.496s at 210.67mph sealed his second win in the specialty race.

Brittany Force and Greg Anderson added to the thrill by clinching the No. 1 qualifier spots in Top Fuel and Pro Stock, setting the stage for an electrifying race day. Force’s impressive performance at 334.82mph earned her the first top qualifier of the year, while Anderson’s consistent runs in the 6.40s reaffirmed his status as a top contender.

As the battle intensifies and adrenaline runs high, the stage is set for an epic showdown on race day. Stay tuned as these speed demons rev up their engines and push the limits of performance at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals.
