DS continues to develop its historic alliance with the French Presidency, which dates back to the Declaration of the Fifth Republic. The DS and SM models, and more recently the DS 5 and DS 7, have been used by seven French presidents.

Now, for the celebrations of May 8, 1945, the day of the Armistice, DS Automobiles has created a new vehicle for the French Presidency, the DS N°8 Presidential, an exclusive vehicle designed to parade as close as possible to the French people.

The model has been transformed in multiple aspects by the engineers and creative teams at DS Automobiles. Firstly, it features a Sapphire Blue color (like the DS 7 Élysée), exclusive to the DS N°8, complemented by black-painted side panels. The illuminated DS LuminaScreen grille showcases the blue, white, and red colors of the French Republic. Other exterior details include special emblems in blue, white, and red that also adorn the front and rear of the vehicle, as well as flag holders at the ends of the front bumper.

With a unique design based on experience and technology to embody the Art of Traveling, the DS N°8 Presidential was created with the help of various artisans and French partners. Before commemorating the Armistice of May 8, 1945, the DS N°8 Presidential was the subject of an exclusive presentation at the Élysée Palace, where Xavier Peugeot, CEO of DS Automobiles, his teams, as well as the artisans representing French savoir-faire in the service of excellence who worked on the creation of this special automobile, were able to present their work to the President of the French Republic.
“The DS N°8 Presidential, present on the day of the 80th anniversary of the Armistice of May 8, 1945, continues the line of special and acclaimed DS models by the Presidency of the French Republic for nearly 70 years,” said Xavier Peugeot, CEO of DS Automobiles.
