Pray.com backs Sting Ray Robb for the 2024 IndyCar season

A.J. Foyt Racing and their newly signed driver Sting Ray Robb have secured Pray.com as their main sponsor for the 2024 season. The No. 41 Chevy, driven by Robb, will feature a combination of black, yellow, and red colors to represent his supporter, aligning with his strong Christian beliefs.

Robb expressed his excitement for the partnership, stating, “My faith has played a crucial role in my journey, and I’m thrilled to drive a car that reflects that. It’s a true honor and blessing to join forces with Pray.com. Together, we will utilize our shared beliefs and objectives to inspire others in their commitment to prayer and foster a stronger faith community.”

In addition to the sponsorship, Robb has recently begun sharing passages from the Bible with his followers through social media posts. This initiative has been well-received and has further demonstrated his unwavering dedication to his faith.

Pray.com CEO Steve Gatena explained the rationale behind the partnership, stating, “With the increasing acceptance of Christian advertisers on major television networks like CBS and FOX, we recognized motorsports fans as an incredible audience for Pray.com. We chose to collaborate with Sting Ray not only because of his unique name but also due to his strong Christian testimony. As our team got to know him better, we grew to admire him even more – his faith is infectious, and he possesses a genuine passion for spreading the power of prayer.”

While faith-based sponsors are not uncommon in the world of motor racing, their presence has been limited across various racing series. In recent years, NASCAR has been the primary platform for such sponsors. However, when looking back to the 1980s, we can also find examples in IMSA, the WEC, and IndyCar, where cars were supported by the Church of Scientology.
