In a thrilling and adrenaline-pumping display of speed and skill, the giants of the NTT IndyCar Series, Team Penske, and Chip Ganassi Racing, showcased their dominance during the practice session for the upcoming 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The 2018 Indianapolis 500 champion, Will Power, led the charge for Team Penske, claiming the top spot on the speed charts with a blazing lap of 227.026 mph in the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet. Right on his heels was his teammate and two-time defending 500 winner, Josef Newgarden, who clocked in at 226.971 mph in the No. 2 Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Team Penske Chevrolet, setting the stage for an intense battle for supremacy.

Despite weather interruptions that delayed the start of practice and ultimately cut it short due to lightning strikes, the intensity on the track was palpable. Power expressed confidence in their performance, acknowledging the unique challenge that the Indianapolis 500 presents and the importance of continuous improvement.

Seasoned veterans like Scott Dixon and Helio Castroneves also made their mark, showcasing their expertise and determination as they aim for another taste of glory at the prestigious event.

As the drivers gear up for the ultimate test of speed, skill, and endurance, the stage is set for a showdown of epic proportions at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With each lap bringing them closer to the checkered flag, the quest for victory intensifies, promising fans a spectacle like no other.
