Norman Nato, from Andretti Racing team, led the times in the first free practice session (FP1) before the next Portland E-Prix. The French driver, who recently achieved his first podium of the year in Shanghai, set a time of 1:09.079s. He was followed by Mitch Evans [+0.174s], with his teammate Nick Cassidy [+0.207s] securing the third position.

Antonio Felix da Costa, who lost his appeal against disqualification in Misano, finished in fourth place [+0.238s], while Nyck de Vries maintained his impressive form and secured the fifth position [+0.340s].

Lucas di Grassi, from ABT Cupra, had a great performance and finished in sixth place [+0.378s], while Pascal Wehrlein, who is seeking to reduce the gap in the championship standings, secured the seventh position [+0.446s].

Despite going off track earlier in the session, Sergio Sette Camara impressed with his eighth place [+0.533s]. Maximilian Günther achieved the ninth position [+0.571s], with Edoardo Mortara completing the top 10 [+0.580s].

The first free practice session (FP1) is complete! Here is the starting grid at the end of the session for the race in the United States. Caio Collet, who replaced Oliver Rowland, who was ill, in the Nissan team, finished in 20th place [+0.992], being the last driver within one second of Nato’s time. It is worth noting that Collet’s achievement is even more impressive considering that he had no previous experience in the simulator due to his late call-up for the Portland International Raceway.
