Porsche Supercup race triggers chaos at Austrian GP with bizarre tow truck crash

In a shocking turn of events at the Austrian Grand Prix, chaos ensued as a tow truck crashed into an overhead advertising board, causing it to collapse onto the track. Despite the bizarre incident, the race is still on schedule to proceed without any significant delays.

The incident took place during the Porsche Supercup race, impacting the support race schedule which includes Formula 2 and Formula 3 alongside the main event at the Red Bull Ring. The tow truck, transporting a disabled F2 car, inadvertently struck the advertising bridge, sending advertisements tumbling onto the track near Turn 3 and blocking the circuit.

Fortunately, the only casualties were the track surface and the fallen advertising structure, both of which were swiftly cleared to ensure the Austrian Grand Prix continues as planned. Excitement is running high as Lando Norris secures pole position, with Charles Leclerc from Ferrari hot on his heels. Meanwhile, Championship leader Oscar Piastri starts from P3, while Max Verstappen of Red Bull faces a challenging start from P7 after encountering yellow flags during qualifying.

As the tension mounts on the track, fans worldwide eagerly anticipate the thrilling showdown set to unfold at the Austrian Grand Prix following the jaw-dropping tow truck mishap.
