The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the most powerful models from the German brand that we can acquire, but Manthey-Racing has decided to enhance this sports car with a high-performance upgrade package.
Manthey-Racing is Porsche’s most successful customer racing team, a success that allows Manthey to assume the status of a factory team. In this way, Porsche has now revealed the new Manthey Kit package, which will be available in Europe starting January 2025, promising greater track performance.
To achieve this, the new kit includes new elements for better aerodynamics, larger spoilers, and a rear wing with DRS. Additionally, the rear window has been replaced with a 25% lighter carbon fiber panel, on which a carbon fiber shark fin, derived from the 963, winner of the World Endurance Championship, is mounted, designed to increase stability in corners.
Along with six additional roof fins, the fin also helps to redirect the hot air exiting from the front radiator outward, ensuring that cooler intake air is drawn in from the rear, even in more extreme conditions.
Additionally, the generously sized rear diffuser has been widened with longer carbon fiber fins to increase downforce without increasing aerodynamic drag.
For the suspension, Manthey-Racing engineers increased the spring rates of the semi-active coilovers to accommodate higher downforce loads, by 30% at the front and 15% at the rear. They also added new active dampers that work with a new control unit, ensuring a fully automatic damper adjustment that is extremely fast and even more precise than before, offering greater accuracy and improved stability.
Depending on the driving mode (Normal, Sport, Track), different sets of parameters are available for various basic characteristics of the shock absorber. In Track mode, the basic setup can also be manually adjusted according to personal preferences using the buttons installed on the steering wheel.
Note also the updated braking system, which offers competition brake pads designed to reduce wear and enhance responsiveness.
No changes have been made to the engine, so the GT RS continues to use the 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that produces 518 hp, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Porsche has announced that this new Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS can be ordered and will be available in European markets starting January 2025 and outside Europe starting March 2025, with a price starting at €76,911, excluding specific country VAT and installation at a Porsche Center.
