Polestar TRX é o vencedor Design Contest ‘Hot Wheels’

A Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, announced the winner of its Design Contest 2024, a competition that this year was held in partnership with the legendary car brand Hot Wheels, inviting participants to present designs inspired by its famous 1:64 scale and Polestar’s distinctive design language.

Among all the proposals received by Polestar, Shashank Shekhar, a professional designer from India, emerged as the winner with his “Polestar TRX,” a robust all-terrain vehicle.

The concept, with its exaggerated proportions and sleek surfaces, presents a bold interpretation of Polestar’s design philosophy, which is typically more subtle.

Thus, Shashank Shekhar’s TRX becomes the first Polestar to be included in the Hot Wheels toy car series, and it will be available for purchase starting in the summer of 2025.

“I am very happy to win. This will be the first design of my career to be produced, so it will always be very important to me. I never thought that one day something I created would end up as a Hot Wheels model”, said the winner of the Polestar Design Contest, Shashank Shekhar.

The second prize of the Polestar Design Contest went to the Italian Powei Chen with the colorful “Cyber Shaker,” which references both the past and the present with its attractive cyberpunk design.

The classic Le Mans presented by Roman Moor from Germany received an honorable mention for his concept “Polestar Track Toy,” which impressed the panel of four judges, including representatives not only from Polestar but also from Mattel.
