Ecological mobility has been gaining ground in all areas of the automotive sector, and for this reason, one of the most legendary competitions, the Mille Miglia in Italy, now includes a race dedicated to more eco-friendly models.
In this race, Polestar, the winner of the 2024 edition, will line up for the race starting this Tuesday, with the “Collezione Mille,” models featuring a special paint that pays homage to legacy, design, and resilience.
Polestar is bringing three models to the starting line of this year’s Mille Miglia Green, all long-range versions of the Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4. With a competitive DNA, these models combine performance with range, featuring high-capacity batteries that allow for over 600 kilometers of travel between charges. The vehicles are equipped with Michelin E Primacy and Pilot Sport EV tires from the factory, optimized for electric vehicles and developed in partnership with Polestar’s chassis team, ensuring ideal dynamic behavior and maximum efficiency.
The three models feature exclusive ‘Collezione Mille’ decorations inspired by the history of the Mille Miglia and pay a contemporary tribute to the rich legacy of Italian racing. The ‘Collezione Mille’ evolves the visual concept already presented in the ‘Arctic Circle’ collection, which debuted at the FAT Ice Race in Austria earlier this year.
The two-tone paint scheme, with a contrasting front, refers to the tradition of distinguishing drivers during the races. The white circle, traditionally reserved for the race number, becomes a graphic element of the decoration, discreet before the race and personalized with the official numbers when the Mille Miglia Green begins. The large numbers 2, 3, and 4, in the colors of the Italian flag, celebrate the host country of this unique competition.
“Polestar vehicles offer remarkable performance, not only in acceleration but also in range. We have already won several comparative tests, but bringing our complete range to the historic Mille Miglia Green race in Italy is a definitive endurance test that carries classic automotive culture into the future.”, said Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar. The Mille Miglia Green 2025 takes place from this Tuesday and ends next Saturday.
