The Polestar 3 has achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
The 100% electric SUV is the second model from the Swedish brand to achieve five stars from Euro NCAP, following the Polestar 2 in 2021. It recorded its best result in the child protection category with 93%, while adult protection received 90%, and the protection of more vulnerable road users was rated at 79%. In terms of assistance and safety systems, it achieved 83%.
It is worth noting that the Polestar 3 was developed using advanced structural solutions and driving assistance systems. In the event of a collision, the post-impact braking and protection systems, as well as the direct assistance call, protect the occupants. The Driver Monitoring System (DMS) tracks the driver’s eye and head movements to detect signs of fatigue or discomfort, and can immobilize the vehicle in a controlled manner if necessary.
Additionally, a variety of sensors, cameras, and radars – integrated into the innovative SmartZone at the front of the vehicle and other exterior areas – alert to potential incidents and help avoid impacts.
