The latest over-the-air (OTA) software update from Polestar brings a new sound experience to drivers of the Polestar 3.
It features the “Abbey Road Studios” mode, exclusive to the Bowers & Wilkins sound system, which the brand claims offers an auditory experience inspired by the iconic London studio.
Equipped with four new sound presets, in addition to an extra mode, Producer, each preset is based on the sound of the control and recording rooms of the studios, inspired by the original EMI-era equipment used in the recordings, mixes, and masterings of numerous iconic albums.
The four presets of the “Abbey Road Studios” mode: Intimate, Open, Energised, and Expansive, are each accompanied by a customized image of the studios, displayed in high definition on the 14.5’’ touchscreen of the Polestar 3, featuring some of the most iconic instruments and equipment from the Abbey Road collection.
All the new presets were developed by the studio engineers, professionals with experience alongside some of the biggest names in music. The Producer mode allows for even more precise customization, to adjust the sound to each driver’s preference.
“The ability to recreate a sound signature so close to that of Abbey Road studios is such that one almost forgets they are behind the wheel of a performance SUV. And being able to provide this functionality through an OTA update can only be considered a true success.”, said Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar.
