Yuki Tsunoda and Jack Doohan left fuming after pitlane chaos ruins F1 Miami SQ1 chances

Formula 1 drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Jack Doohan found themselves at the center of a pitlane mayhem during the Miami Grand Prix sprint qualifying, leading to their premature exits from the session. Tsunoda expressed his frustration at the traffic that affected his single SQ1 lap and prevented him from making another attempt. The emergence of Oliver Bearman’s Haas from the pitlane forced Tsunoda to slow down, ultimately leaving him without sufficient time for a second flying lap.

Meanwhile, Doohan encountered his own set of problems as he struggled to navigate the pitlane due to insufficient lock in his car. This mishap led to Doohan being stranded and subsequently blocked by his team-mate Pierre Gasly during his pit exit. Both drivers were unable to advance from Q1, along with Bearman.

Reflecting on the chaotic session, Tsunoda criticized the poor communication from his team, highlighting the challenges he faced with traffic on the track. Despite his disappointment, Tsunoda remained optimistic about his performance for the upcoming race.

Doohan, on the other hand, was vocal about his frustration over the pitlane incident, lamenting the missed opportunity to improve his lap time. He acknowledged the tough competition ahead but hoped to gather valuable data to enhance his chances of securing his first F1 points on race day.

The drivers’ grievances shed light on the intense competition and strategic intricacies at play during the Miami Grand Prix sprint qualifying, setting the stage for an action-packed main race. Stay tuned for more updates and expert insights on the F1 Miami Grand Prix as the drama unfolds on the track.
