Pierre-Louis Loubet was the winner of the sixth stage of the Africa Eco Race 2024, but Gautier Paulin continues to lead in the cars. After the rest day, the riders left Morocco and arrived in Mauritania.

There were 204.63km timed between Dakhla and Chami, where the Apaches came out on top. Loubet took 1h46m21s to complete the course, beating his teammate Paulin by 5m39s. In third place in the combined cars/trucks classification was the best of the trucks, Aad van Velsen (Van Velsen Rally Sport/Scania), followed by the best of the T4: Carlos Vento (Old Friends Rally Team/Can-Am).

Fifth time for Portuguese Ricardo Sousa, in an Old Friends Rally Team Can-Am from the T3 category, completing the podium. Tomas Tomecek (Promet Czechoslovak Group Team/Tatra) followed as the second best among the trucks. To find the best T1, you have to go down to the eighth position in the overall classification: Pascal Feryn (Feryn Dakar Team/Toyota) was eighth, surpassing Teun Stam (Schijf Rally/Toyota) by 1m30s.

In the general classification, Paulin solidified his lead, now having a 2h34m30s advantage over Vento. The Spanish driver returned to second place in exchange with Frédéric Henricy (AT4R/Polaris), who is the best in the SSV class. Pascal Feryn rose to fourth and leads among the T1, while Tomecek gained three positions and consolidated his lead in the trucks: he is now 1h33m49s ahead of van Velsen. Rui Oliveira (Old Friends Rally Team/Can-Am), the best Portuguese, is 11th and third in the T3.
