It is known that there has been animosity between Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly for several years. Now they are teammates at Alpine in Formula 1 since last year, but that doesn’t mean they get along beyond their strict professional relationship – which is healthy.
In an interview with Auto Motor und Sport, #10 commented: ‘Nationality has nothing to do with it. It’s the story of our lives that comes between us. But the collaboration still works well because we both want to win. This is only possible if you work as a team and within the team’.
Gasly emphasized that there is no personal relationship with Ocon, without it affecting the professional dimension: ‘On a personal level, there is no relationship between us. But I don’t need that either. What I need is an Esteban who works as hard as possible for the team. That is enough for me’.
