Peugeot strengthens its leadership in the national automotive market in October.

Peugeot reforça liderança do mercado automóvel nacional em setembro

Peugeot strengthened its leadership in the automobile market, with 22,569 Passenger and Light Commercial vehicles sold between January and October, representing a market share of 11.9%, compared to the 11.6% recorded in the same period of 2022.

In the Passenger Vehicles market, Peugeot leads the cumulative sales table with a total of 18,498 units, a volume that corresponds to a market share of 11.1% (+ 0.3%) compared to the same period last year.

The models that contributed the most to strengthen the French brand’s leadership in this segment are the Peugeot 2008 with 6,067 units sold between January and October, the 208, with 5,779 vehicles sold, and the 308 SW, which is the best-selling station wagon in the market with 1,701 registrations.

Regarding Light Commercial Vehicle sales, the French brand is also the market leader with 4,071 units delivered to its customers in the first ten months of 2023. The brand’s market share rose from 16.6% recorded in 2022 to 18%. The best-selling model in this segment is the Partner with 3,643 registered units, representing a market share of 15.7%.

In the electrified market (100% electric + plug-in hybrids), the French brand remained the top generalist in the national sales ranking, with a volume of 4,593 vehicles sold until October, with a market share of 8.8%. Regarding only the month of October, Peugeot led among generalists with 435 cars sold and a market share of 8.2%.
