Peugeot closes the first semester in the leadership of the automotive market.

The automotive market in Portugal grew 7.8% in the first semester of 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, and among the brands, Peugeot maintained its leadership.

According to the data from the Portuguese Automobile Association (ACAP), Peugeot led the sales of passenger cars with 11,563 registered units in the first semester, ahead of Renault with 8,649 units and Mercedes-Benz with 8,633 commercialized passenger vehicles.

In the month of June, Peugeot once again was the best-selling brand in the passenger vehicle market with 1,752 units, and the second best-selling brand among light commercial vehicles, registering 509 units.

The top 10 best-selling brands in Portugal in the first semester of 2024 (passenger cars):

1st Peugeot – 11,563 units

2nd Renault – 8,649 units

3rd Mercedes-Benz – 8,633 units

4th Dacia – 8,628 units

5th Citroën – 7,180 units

6th BMW – 6,994 units

7th VW – 6,383 units

8th Toyota – 6,099 units

9th Tesla – 5,470 units

10th Kia – 4,484 units
