Peugeot begins strategic commitment to French cinema.

Peugeot inicia compromisso estratégico com o cinema francês

Peugeot has decided to support the seventh art to celebrate its French roots, as part of a cultural, artistic, and social communication strategy of the lion brand.

Building on its French identity and its historical ties to cinema, the brand is enriching its strategy by venturing into a highly emotional new territory, which is French cinema.

This year, Peugeot plans to implement long-term activations across all its communication channels. These initiatives will include strategic partnerships through product placement, support for production teams, original digital content, exclusive events, and activations within its commercial network.

An enhanced presence at festivals and celebrations will increase its visibility through activations in social media and fleets of vehicles dedicated to events.

Support for emerging French talents will be a fundamental pillar of this activation plan: in line with its long-term vision, Peugeot aims to encourage a new generation of French creatives, promoting a future-oriented approach to cinema.

The official partnership with the Cérémonie des César, last February, marked the starting point of this commitment, with Peugeot taking advantage of the prestigious Festival de Cannes to formalize its commitment to French cinema.

Throughout the entire period of the 2025 Festival de Cannes, which ends this weekend, the Peugeot Inception Concept is displayed in a prime location on the Croisette: the lawn of the Carlton Hotel. Festival participants have the opportunity to discover this highly cinematic concept car, which embodies the brand’s optimistic vision for sustainable mobility in the future.

“Cinema is a showcase of our culture, a reflection of our society, and a powerful vehicle of emotion. By aligning ourselves with this universe, we assert our identity: a French brand, proud of its roots, that places pleasure, emotion, and innovation at the heart of its choices. We are very pleased with this new commitment to supporting French cinema”, said Valérie Candeiller, global communications director of Peugeot.
