Perez esperado para assinar novo contrato – Red Bull em necessidade urgente de reforços.

Hello, how are you today?

Welcome to my website!

Sergio Perez should be rehired by Red Bull for the 2025 season, potentially before the Canadian Grand Prix. Despite a recent drop in performance, Red Bull is under pressure from their Formula 1 rivals and sees value in keeping Perez. He started the season strongly, finishing in second place in three of the first four races, which strengthened the case for his renewal. However, his performance has decreased in the last three races, coinciding with Red Bull’s tough phase. Perez has struggled to replicate Verstappen’s ability to overcome challenging circumstances, resulting in a drop in qualifying form and a lack of three podium finishes. This has allowed Ferrari and McLaren to score more points than Red Bull in the championship standings. Team principal Christian Horner recognizes the need for both cars to score points and acknowledges the threat from Ferrari and McLaren. Perez’s struggle is evident, with his average starting position dropping from 3.6 to 10.3 in the last three races. Despite his previous success on street circuits, Perez has not performed as well as Verstappen on these tracks. There is an expectation that Perez will be rehired by Red Bull, although no final contract has been signed yet. Red Bull’s decision will be made in the coming weeks, and Perez’s future is believed to be secured before the Canadian Grand Prix. However, this renewal will not be based on Perez’s recent performance. Red Bull’s reasons for keeping Perez are weaker now than they were a few weeks ago, but they also believe that the arguments for replacing him are worse. Red Bull considered Carlos Sainz as an alternative, but tensions between Sainz and Verstappen since their time at Toro Rosso make this option less favorable. Red Bull is not interested in promoting Yuki Tsunoda or giving Daniel Ricciardo the seat he desires. As a current driver, Perez benefits from being the continuity option, even if he is not the best choice. Red Bull needs Perez to be “good enough” and hopes that a return to more conventional tracks will bring out his best performance. However, the team recognizes the need to regain Perez’s confidence and avoid any further decline in his performance. Red Bull needs both of their drivers to be at their best to win championships, especially considering the recent performances of McLaren and Ferrari. Although more wins for Red Bull and Verstappen are likely, consistent support from Perez cannot be assumed, regardless of a new agreement.
