Antonio Felix da Costa, the winner of the Berlin E-Prix race, expressed his belief that this style of racing truly showcases a driver’s skill and mindset. In his own words, da Costa stated: “These races are made for true drivers. They involve intense competition and bold maneuvers, requiring careful risk management. Personally, I really enjoy this type of racing.” He further emphasized that winning at prestigious locations like Monaco, London, Saudi Arabia, or Mexico means being the fastest driver on that specific day.
Despite his success, da Costa acknowledged that he and his team have certain limitations, which leads him to take advantage of every opportunity in races like these. He explained: “To be honest, I don’t consider myself the fastest driver, nor do I believe we have the fastest overall package. Therefore, we must make the most of these races using all the tools we have. However, our main goal remains to improve our qualifying pace.” He also highlighted the importance of supporting his teammate, who is heavily involved in the championship battle, while still racing for his own personal goals.
Da Costa expressed satisfaction with the team’s collaborative efforts, stating: “We have a strong team dynamic and today, when I felt the right moment to make a move, I took full advantage and it paid off.”
