Paulo Carelli is the new director of the Fiat / Abarth brands for Portugal and Spain, a position he will hold alongside his current role as director of the Jeep brand for the Iberian Peninsula.
Carelli replaces Artur Fernandes, who was the director of the Fiat / Abarth brands in Portugal and Spain and will take on new roles at Stellantis, which will be announced in due course.
Paulo Carelli has extensive international experience in the automotive sector, starting in 1996 when he joined the Argentine subsidiary of Alfa Romeo as Country Manager.
In 2001, he moved to Turin, Italy, to take on various responsibilities at Alfa Romeo’s headquarters, including overseeing the operations of the Italian brand in key markets in Europe and East Asia.
His first direct contact with the Spanish market occurred in 2007, when he became the Director of Alfa Romeo in Spain, a position he held until 2011, when he was appointed CEO of the FIAT Group in Greece.
Six years later, he returned to Spain as Sales Director for Alfa Romeo and Jeep, a position he held until 2019, when he took on the General Management of both brands for the Spanish market. With the creation of Stellantis, he was appointed General Director of Jeep for Spain and Portugal in April 2021.
