PAT BEV REVEALS TRUTH ABOUT LAKERS: “THEY BLAMED ME!”

Patrick Beverley, former Lakers player, has opened up about his time with the team and how he believes he was unfairly blamed for their struggles. In a recent episode of his podcast, Beverley expressed his frustration, stating, “When I left, they blamed me; they blamed Russ. We’re on some of the best teams in the NBA.” It’s clear that Beverley feels he was made a scapegoat for the Lakers’ shortcomings.

During his stint with the Lakers, Beverley’s performance was underwhelming, with averages of just 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. This was a significant drop from his previous season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and was seen as a disappointment. However, it’s important to note that Beverley wasn’t the only problem with the Lakers.

The Lakers also struggled with Russell Westbrook, who joined the team around the same time as Beverley. Despite Westbrook’s efforts and adjustments made by head coach Darvin Ham, he too failed to find success with the Lakers. Both Beverley and Westbrook have since moved on to more accomplished teams, with Westbrook now playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Looking back, it’s evident that the Lakers’ decision to include Beverley and Westbrook didn’t pan out. The team continues to struggle, even after parting ways with the two players. It’s clear that there were deeper issues within the Lakers organization that contributed to their lack of success.

In conclusion, Patrick Beverley’s time with the Lakers was marred by blame and disappointment. While he acknowledges that he and Westbrook are now thriving on other teams, it doesn’t erase the fact that their tenure with the Lakers was a failure. The Lakers must address the underlying problems within their organization if they hope to turn their fortunes around.
