The Pagani has just unveiled the new Imola Roadster, a model with 850 hp of power to ride with the wind in your hair, following the launch of an exclusive edition of five units of the Imola coupe by Horacio Pagani’s brand.
Equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine, specifically developed by Mercedes-Benz AMG for Pagani, which offers 850 hp of power and 1,100 Nm of maximum torque, available between 3,600 and 5,600 rpm.
The power is transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed sequential gearbox developed by Xtrac, which allows a top speed of 350 km/h before the electronic limiter comes into action.
The powerful engine requires greater cooling, which led the Pagani engineering team to make changes to the bodywork, creating two air intakes at the front, larger than those developed for the coupe version. In addition, this convertible version is equipped with air outlets in the wheel arches and another on the side of the bumper.
In this way, Pagani ensures that these elements improve aerodynamics, reducing the pressure under the front section, increasing stability, and directing air directly to the rear wings.
In addition, Pagani equipped the Imola Roadster with new ventilated taillights that help extract heat from the rear wheel arches, which, according to the brand, simultaneously improves the cooling of the rear brakes and the downforce – that is, the aerodynamic force that pushes the vehicle towards the ground, thus increasing road grip. There is also an oversized air intake on the roof that helps direct air to the engine and is designed to work in conjunction with the fin positioned immediately behind it. With all this, the Imola Roadster is capable of generating 600 kg of downforce at 280 km/h.
Another novelty is the introduction of intelligent suspension with electronically controlled damping, similar to what is used in competition models. Focused on the track but homologated for the road, the Imola Roadster is equipped with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires: 265/30 on the front axle and 355/25 on the rear, mounted on forged alloy wheels measuring 21” in the front and 22” in the rear.
The braking system is equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic and ventilated discs measuring 398×36 mm and 6-piston calipers at the front, while the rear uses 380×34 mm discs with 4-piston calipers.
Inside, there are highlights such as wood details with carbon fiber, leather upholstery, and a seven-speaker sound system.
Pagani did not reveal the price of this roadster, which will have a limited production of eight units, but reminded that it offers an extensive range of customizations, in order to satisfy all desires and create a completely personalized model.
