The Acropolis victory marked Tänak’s first win of 2025, and he did not let the celebratory podium linger for too long. With a private jet waiting, Tänak and Järveoja jetted over 2000 miles to Finland, eager to tackle the next challenges that lie ahead.
Returning to the rally track less than 24 hours after his Acropolis triumph, Tänak and Järveoja dived back into action in an i20 N Rally1, ready to take on the high-speed terrains of Estonia and Finland. The duo’s swift return to competition showcases their unwavering commitment to success.
Hyundai’s team is closely monitoring the performance of their upgraded i20 N Rally1, especially on soft-surface gravel where improvements are expected to make a significant impact. Tänak expressed optimism about the chassis upgrades, emphasizing the importance of putting theory into practice on the rally stages.
Following in the footsteps of his teammates Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux, who used national rallies to prepare for upcoming events, Tänak is set to participate in the Lõuna-Eesti Ralli to fine-tune his skills for the upcoming challenges, including his home rally in Estonia.
As Tänak gears up for Rally Finland, where he has claimed victory three times in the past, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown with Toyota’s Kalle Rovanperä. While Rovanperä has dominated in recent editions, Tänak remains a formidable force on Finnish soil, setting the stage for an epic battle between the rally titans.
