Oscar Piastri diz que a McLaren não fez nada excepcional apesar de melhorar seu jogo.

McLaren currently holds the third position among the fastest teams on the Formula 1 grid for the 2024 season. The Woking team had a good start to the season, securing a victory against Red Bull’s dominant campaign. They also have more potential to explore with planned updates for the MCL38 throughout the season. However, a team member feels that they have not yet made significant contributions to the team.

In the beginning of his debut season, the young driver showed great promise by winning a sprint race. Fans had high hopes for him and his teammate at McLaren. As the team continues to improve their pace, the driver acknowledges that there is still room for further improvements, despite promising results. He humbly admits that he has not done anything exceptional for the team yet.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old driver states that the McLaren team has also not done anything extraordinary since the start of the season. According to him, the team’s engineers have been able to optimize the car’s performance, especially with the updates. This has allowed the team to elevate their performance to a higher level in the world of motorsport.

During his debut season in F1, Oscar Piastri finished ninth in the drivers’ championship. He even surpassed his teammate by winning a sprint race. However, the start of the 2024 season has been quite different, with McLaren showing significant improvements from the beginning.

Piastri acknowledges that there have been some standout moments since the start of the season. He also mentions that the early stages of the championship were very promising for the team. Overall, the Australian driver believes that he has progressed in several areas since the previous season. However, he admits that the necessary consistency is still lacking to stand out throughout an entire race weekend.

As the season progresses, McLaren is gradually closing the gap to rival teams in the constructors’ championship. The competition between the top teams promises to offer exciting races throughout the season. Piastri and his teammates must stay up to date with the updates during the season to win the battle for development against their competitors.
